Web / Flash Designer

Designs visual interfaces and interaction of web sites, web-based applications, and DVD programs. Designs and evaluates visual human interfaces utilizing user-centered design principles. Implements the user interface design using Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and related applications. Has extensive knowledge of commonlyused concepts, practices, and procedures, such as HTML, CSS, Web 2.0, and W3C.

Works with the creative and product development teams, yet is responsible to ensure user experience is formulated to achieve the objectives of the project. Prepares assets for the development team in the form of images and design/slice guides. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Internet design issues, such as browser usability, cross-platform compatibility, color and the quick loading of images.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs Daily Work Load:
- Coordinates with co-workers to best utilize facility resources.
- Properly logs, meta-tags, and handles project collateral to established standards.
- Completes & submits appropriate paperwork for both internal & external purposes.
Other Duties:
- Anticipates future position needs, develops strategies, and presents to management.
- Maintains work spaces in neat and orderly manner.
- Suggests appropriate additions to job description.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
- College or trade degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or closely related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in interactive or graphic design.
- Extensive working knowledge of Mac/Win browsers, CSS, & W3C standards.
- Extensive working knowledge of Adobe Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective listening and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision provided adequate training.
